Manual Spindle Oiling

The spindle is the part of the handpiece that the bur fits into. The end is visible at the front of the handpiece head. It is a complicated piece if engineering that opens to accommodate or release the bur and closes the grip as the button is pressed and released.

There are regulatory guidelines and safety tests as to the holding pressure it applies to the bur. The tests are carried out at every handpiece service.

Automated oiling units will not do this task automatically. Check operator instructions or call us for guidance if you have got an automatic oiler.

Handpiece manufacturers recommends oiling the burr spindle once a week.
